Every group at Mission exists to create a safe place for people to connect with each other and connect with God.
We say it often, but still never enough! As you kick off your group this week, whether it's for the first time or the 100th time, let's aim everything we've got at that target: safe rooms where connection can happen.
So as we get rolling, here are a couple easy ways to make that safety a reality!
Read the Group Statement every week.
Not at the beginning of the session, not just when something goes wrong, and not just when it feels right. The Group Statement creates an expectation of safety that people can rely on - and sometimes it takes a while to actually trust it. And then when something does go wrong and someone breaks the safety... you've got something familiar to fall back on to correct it!
Be an "IN PROCESS" Leader.
Leading doesn't mean you have the answers to the questions. And it doesn't mean you're an encyclopedia of Bible trivia and fancy spiritual stories. Leaders lead the way with their own story, their own questions, and their own vulnerability. "IN PROCESS" leaders test the safety net for everyone, and set the tone so their people can follow suit.
You will NOT want to miss the two Vision Nights coming up this weekend!
You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at a LOT of info about the new building and the journey we are going on as a church to get there. Make sure to RSVP for the one you're coming to so we know to expect you! And it's a great opportunity to meet up with your group and experience it together! This is an important night for anyone that calls Mission home!
AND, we've got an ALL MISSION GROUP Leader and Host Training coming up!
Check out the two options below for all the details and to sign up for one!
