August 25th will be the start of a brand new series of helpful messages on parenting, and let’s be honest, we all could use some help!
If you are not a parent, this series is still for you, as we all have the opportunity to influence and invest in the lives of kids. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, foster parent, teacher, coach or volunteer, this series is designed to help us all be intentional in our relationships with kids.
In addition Mission Kids will be throwing a great party at all 4 services on the 25th to kick off a new school year! Bounce houses, photo booth, games and Kona Ice….your kids will love it! It’s going to be an awesome Sunday! Don’t miss it! Mark your calendars now and start thinking about who you’re inviting!
One of our values at Mission is to THROW GREAT PARTIES in our community, so, THIS Friday, August 23rd from 6:30-9:30PM, we are throwing a MOVIE NIGHT for our whole neighborhood! This is a FREE family experience with inflatable bouncers, popcorn, giveaways, face painting, FREE Kona Ice, and a special showing of Spider Man Into the Spider-Verse!
We are asking the Mission family for two things:
For you to help us make this party awesome! We need tons of volunteers, so sign up to volunteer on the app today!
For you to attend! Grab your chairs and blankets, family and friends, and come party with us to bring light, hope and joy to our neighborhood!!
There are over 415,000 children in foster care in the US, and 29,000 of those kids live in LA and Ventura counties. This month, we are partnering with James Storehouse, and organization that supports children in foster care from cribs to college, by providing resources that will ease transition and improve living conditions. Because most kiddos get placed in a home with just the clothes on their backs, they have asked us to collect new, clean socks and underwear for boys and girls in all sizes (from 2T to adult XL), and twin bed-in-a-bag sets (for both boys and girls). Let's blow their socks off with how many we collect! If you'd like more information about James Storehouse or how you can help, check out this video by CLICKING HERE.

Thanks for downloading the Mission App! Make sure to set up your app profile to make using the app work for you specifically. By creating a profile, each time you use a feature on the app that requires your information, the app will auto fill your info saving you the extra time and hassle! This is super helpful for using the Connect Card feature, Giving and any future event registration. Also, be sure to allow push notifications and location info. We promise not to spam you! This is a great way for Mission to send important info out to everyone who has the app downloaded.
