I hope you're excited to jump right in and see God at work in the lives of the people in our groups. As you get started this week, I'd love for us all to remember our big goal as group leaders and hosts:
creating safe places for people to discover god together.
No matter what happens, no matter who shows up, and no matter how clean your house ends up... if we get this right, we are winning! So let's go after this together this week!
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF A PERSONAL INVITATION
A group invitation is never as powerful as a personal one. Yes, communicate to everyone. But also make sure you're communicating to every ONE... individually! Whether you're just starting, or your group's been meeting for years, every person deserves (and needs!) to know that you want THEM there specifically.
MUSIC: KILL THE MOOD OR CREATE IT
The goal is to create safe places for our groups, and surprisingly enough, music can play a big part in that! So if you want to utilize all of music's potential, follow this simple plan:
- Play music before and after your discussion.
- Make sure it's fun (like... upbeat, "we're happy to be here" fun!)
- Make sure it's relatable to everyone.
