Make a plan for the break
We are about to go on "break" for the holidays - it's a really important time to recharge and relax as a leader, but it's also a great opportunity to connect with your group in special and creative ways!
A personal plan
Leading and/or hosting a group is one of the most rewarding things we get to do as followers of Christ, it's a huge honor! But it takes a toll on our energy... relationally, spiritually, and physically! So be intentional about how you recharge. Maybe you love more intimate settings, and you need a few one-on-ones that will bring you life. Maybe you love a more social setting and you need to throw a party! Or maybe you need some intentional alone or family time to really recharge. Whatever it is, set tangible goals for taking care of yourself and your family, and stick with them! It's important to care for yourself, and no one else will do it for you!
A plan for the group
Start talking about the break with your group this week! Get a feel for people's schedules and what some individuals might be interested in helping plan. You don't have to do it all alone!
There are a few ways to lean into the breaks to connect with your group in a creative or special way! Sometimes breaking from the norm and trying something different creates new bonds and strengthens relationships!
Here's a quick look at where we're at in the session, what's happening in December, and what to expect in January!
