A 28-Day Journey Through Acts
Learning from the early church as a church.
What to Expect & How to Begin
Come as you are.
You don’t need to be “ready” or have it all together. This study is for the curious, the hungry, the hurting, and the hopeful.
Stick with it, even if it’s messy.
Some days will feel inspiring. Others won’t. That’s okay. God meets us in our consistency, not our perfection.Make space, not pressure.
These practices aren’t spiritual checklists—they’re invitations to slow down and be with God.No shame, just start again.
If you miss a day (or a few), don’t try to catch up. Just pick up where we are and keep moving forward.Small steps are still steps.
A few minutes of prayer or one verse that sticks with you is still movement. Trust that even little moments can have a big impact. You’re not alone.
We’re doing this together—praying, fasting, listening, showing up. Even on days it feels quiet, you’re part of something bigger.
Each week, you’ll find:
A simple overview of what we’ll be exploring together.
An optional guided prayer or meditation to help you slow down and connect with God.
One focused topic we’re all praying about together as Mission Church.
Daily Practices that include:
One chapter to read in the book of Acts
A short summary of the chapter
One key thought
One reflection question
One challenge to try
What’s the Book of Acts All About?
Acts is a true story about what happened after Jesus rose from the dead. It picks up right after Jesus’ life and teachings, and tells how His followers carried the message forward.
It’s written by a guy named Luke—a doctor and careful storyteller. He traveled with the early believers and wanted to give an honest, detailed account of what he saw and heard.
The main character isn’t a person—it’s the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is God’s presence, moving in and through ordinary people, giving them power, boldness, and guidance.
You’ll meet people who messed up, doubted, ran away—and still got invited in. This is not a story about perfect people. It’s about real people who were changed and got to be a part of something incredible.
It’s full of miracles, prison breaks, unexpected friendships, and world-changing courage. For real—some parts read like an action movie, but it’s all grounded in faith and love.
Acts shows how a small group of scared people became a movement of hope that changed the world: the Church.. And it’s still going. That story didn’t end—it’s still being written in people like you and me through places like Mission Church
Together, we will read through the book of Acts, watch for the Holy Spirit to show up and how he works in the world, and practice creating space for Him to show up in our church and our lives with a new expectancy. That’s what this study is all about.
