Watch the video! Sing and dance along to the worship songs, watch the Bible story, and connect the big idea to real life!
Talk about each of the questions to keep the conversation going
Do the activity together to have some fun and reinforce the big idea!
Talk It Through Together
Question of the day! (all ages!)
Go around the room and ask the question: “If you had to eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?”
Story Questions:
Why did the disciples need to pick a new member of the team?
What did they do to decide?
Who helps us do God’s work?
Read 1 John 5:12-13, “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”
Who can have eternal life according to this verse?
DO IT // activity
Use the gears (view/print the Activity page below or pull from your May Church Kit!) to write down some ways that you can serve God now, AND in the future! On 3 of the gears, write some ideas for how you can serve God now, and on the other 3 gears write down ways that you can serve God in the future! Then cut out the gears and make your own arrangement on the colored paper!
All the little things we want to do for God now, and all the things we’d like to do for God in the future add up to something BIG! We don’t have to have the entire Bible memorized or work in a church one day to do something big for God, even the little things we do to serve God made a BIG impact!
